Durbin Housing Project

Designed on a site that is irregular in both shape and topography, Durbin offers a creative solution to much needed young professional housing in the area. Located in an edgy-trendy part of Echo Park, Durbin is composed of 36 3-story condominiums that range in size from 1,100 s.f to 1,500 s.f. and have a 2 car garage on the first floor.

The floor plans are designed to be open to maximize use of space as well as day light and natural ventilation. All the units have their own front entry porch – a way to encourage neighbor interaction as well as provide some individuality.
The site offers such amenities as a BBQ area, multiple covered outdoor gathering spaces and a courtyard that caters to the needs of the residents. Durbin’s design reflects the community it is located in, which has a strong Craftsman presence.
