F.A.M.E. Plaza

Located on the corner of Western Boulevard and Adams Avenue, FAME Plaza is a continuation of the First AME Church’s commitment to serving the community. This 5-story building will provide leasable office space for incubator businesses as well as ground floor commercial space.  It is adjacent to the existing FAME Renaissance Building, which serves as FAME Renaissance Corporation’s  headquarters,  and already houses other incubator businesses.
With the lot size totaling 25,322 SF (0.58 AC), a small building footprint was necessary to accommodate the required parking spaces for future tenants. The ground floor, with 4000 SF of commercial space, is intended for bank use.  Its curvilinear form is set back from the sidewalk to provide a landscaped plaza along the street. The remaining four upper floors maximize the building footprint with a total of 29,474 SF of leasable area for office use.
The building incorporates many sustainable design strategies, including optimizing day lighting, minimizing heat gain and operable windows that provide an option for natural ventilation throughout the space.
